This October, the 'Musician of the Month' is John Winston Ono Lennon. He was born and raised in Liverpool, UK. He is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, and founder of the phenomenal pop band, The Beatles.

John Lennon played the harmonica in The Beatles early recordings. He played a rhythm guitar, then later on progressing to a variety of electric guitars, and occasionally, he played a six-string bass guitar. He created several compositions on piano, including his best work Imagine.

Lennon is known as one of the most influential and successful musicians of the 20th century. He received numerous awards from the Grammy Awards and BRIT Awards. He was top-ranking in 100 Greatest Britons, Member of the Order of the British Empire, Songwriters Hall of Fame, and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
